Tuesday has arrived with hazy skies ... must be fire burning someplace as hazy skies are quite unusual in these neck of the woods!!

Feeling slightly better today. I slept well, did just fine with my eating and drinking yesterday and did see a small decline in the scale this morning, down to 186.2 after yesterday's 187.4. I was majorly hungry yesterday but managed to make it through the day. Still, not nearly as low of a calorie day as some of my dear buddies can manage. I'm not complaining though ... it was definitely a 'back on track' sort of day.

I cruised by the reduced bakery rack at Wal-Mart yesterday without even slowing down!! Oh ... I looked as I cruised by but all the while telling myself 'don't you dare buy something for Bob'!!! LOL!!! Today holds a visit at a park and a practice run with a family who we'll be taping tomorrow. A busy enough day without being totally insane. I do have to dash out to Wally World again, this time to purchase sodas for our vending machines and then drop them off to my husband so he can stock them this afternoon when he gets off work.

So ... let's consider what I might be grateful for this morning ...

1. Catching up with one of my good buddies here on fs via PM ... funny how I miss folks when they are absent for a bit!!

2. Getting in a Pilates workout this morning after about a week off ... it was a little more challenging than usual but I still did it!!

3. Slightly cooler temps which make sleeping at night so much more pleasant!

4. Actually catching my paperwork completely up to date yesterday ... today will no doubt create more but it felt great to see the pile disappear if only temporarily!!

5. Chatting with my bestest friend ever by phone last night on her way home from a busy day ... always so good to hear her voice!!!

And so it goes .... At least this morning I didn't try on umpteen million outfits before I decided what to wear!!! I'm doing okay. Working consistently to be kind to myself and not slip into the self destructive habit of feeling bad about where my numbers are lurking at the moment. Reminding myself this is a life-long journey, more like a marathon that never ends rather than a sprint!! Catching reflections of myself and realizing that even with a few extra pounds I look pretty darn good for a 50-something woman!! LOL!!! And so ... please keep me company as I traverse this journey of health, wellness, self-acceptance, and kindness. Notice what you beat up on yourself about. Catch yourself in the middle of it and pause. Reframe it. It is worth the effort. We are all worth the effort. No amount of compliments from others will ever be as powerful as the self acceptance we practice!! As Lisaonline would say ... TOWANDA!!! Let's make the most of today!!!

Good drop moose. You are maintaining in a slightly elevated range and it looks like you can bring it right back down whenever you want to. I hope the hazy skies clear up for you and a wonderful day comes your way.

Kate .... I know. I like the ocean though!! I imagine my chart will always look like waves in the ocean. I would like those waves to crash a little closer to the blue line though ... or even below!! Info ... thanks. I believe I can bring it back down. I have your example to follow!!!

My chart would look like a fractal terraced steppe if I weighed in every day. (Yes, I am a nerd, so what?) On a large scale it would be about flat for one week followed by 3 weeks of loss. On a small scale, it would be about flat, or a little uphill for 5 days then down for 2 days. You can get to that blue line :) I'm approaching mine and thinking about dipping below it.

Thanks for the encouragement Kate!! I could always just change the blue line!!! LOL!!! (been there, done that, got grief for it!!!) I like that ... a fractal terraced steppe!!! Bob and I are going for a long weekend get-away the beginning of October. I was thinking it would be super cool if I could see 175 by the end of September.

Goosebumps I tell ya, amazing how online friends really help ride the tides of the blue line. Have a wonderful day and by the way I am curious about the taping. Since I am new to your group I think I may have missed out on something. Are you doing wife swap or something, lol? Anyway, sounds very intriguing to me. Happy Tuesday, Towanda!

Wally World??? Anyway, great job with the loss, and keep it up buddy!

Wally World = Wal-Mart ... all the calories you could ever want at bargain prices!! LOL!!! Lisa the taping is for a training project the University of Idaho is putting together on utilizing a coaching model in early intervention practices. Our program adopted that approach about a year ago and some silly person recommended us as folks who do a 'great' job at it in our state ... therefore ... smile, we are on camera!!! LOL!!! Wife swap might be more interesting!!

Oh gosh. My confession. I turned down husbands idea of buying a boat load of croissants at Sams since its too much bread for just him. I felt SO bad that by my work we have a bread distributer, I ran into the small store they have Mondays -all carbs and calories you can get for $.79 each! LOL I got way too many, and we can't eat all that. They aren't healthier breads either! lol What to do now, lol Kudos on your drop, see when we get to the low its just a matter of 'behaving' a few days more instead of splurging more often. We can so do this. I haven't looked at your cals but maybe drop them just by 100 or 200? Let me look. I will pm you.... hey..Im not your only buddy you PM? :/ well I guess I do admire that about you of how friendly and caring you are to all of us! :) Hey what's cooler temps? we don't get those til october!!!!!! ugh

Hi Moose, let me thank you for your encouraging words and stopping by to see me. It's been a tough week and I have tired myself out. But I was determined to say hi to all of you tonight and I am always remembering how nice my buddies are to me. Your last paragraph today was really meaningful. I love how you write; you are funny, serious, heartwarming and honest. AND, you tell it like it is. Great quality. More people should be honest in this world. You will get to 175 if you keep passing by that bakery in Walmart. Do you log everything you eat? This is the only thing that works for me. I have to know my daily numbers to keep myself in line. I like weighing daily but logging it on FS on Wed and Sat. That gives me time to get past the "fluctuations". When I get to 130, I think I am going to get a new blue line number of 125. Because of the cancer, I need to be thin for my health. I used to weigh 125 years ago and I can do it again!! You have a really good evening Moose and with that cooler weather, sleep well. We are like Cindy, hot until AT LEAST October if not later. Nite Moose.

Thanks for the votes of confidence!! NN - I log my calories most days. On weekends I'm sure I'm not exact but this is what I have done the whole time and it works pretty well for me!! Cindy ... LOL ... no you are not the 'only' buddy I PM but you are among my top ten!!

Cindy ... end of September??? To weigh 175??? That's what I am hoping. Guess I have to do more than hope, eh??? LOL!!! Yes ... end of September ... that's the plan!!
