Wow! It's been a few weeks since I've done the stairs on my lunch break, and today was wonderful. I mean, I was breathing hard earlier than usual and thinking that this was going to be a doozy of a workout. Next thing I knew I was seeing signs for the 12th floor. I usually have to march in place for a few seconds on the 5th and 10th. I made it all the way up to the penthouse without stopping.
I wonder if I can attribute this success to being in better shape, or to this being the first workout in three days. My mind was on the fictional breakup of two characters in the short story I'm reading. I guess the argument really got me going maybe :)
