Slept about 10 hours, and my morning weigh in after all that was 197.8! It's hard work, sleeping! Finally some movement again though...almost half a lb.

Blood sugar monitoring continues, and I learn a lot about myself and how my body is working. My numbers look normal all during the course of the day...before meals, two hours after meals, right where they should be. It is my first test when I wake up that runs slightly high, when I'm fasting. It isn't "high" by a diabetics standards, but it is higher than what a 'normal' reading should be, it's firmly in the prediabetic range. It was normal when I went to bed last night, higher when I awoke this morning.

Today's meal plan...I had lowfat nutrigrain Eggo waffles for breakfast, with sugar free syrup, and a scrambled egg. Dinner is going to be turkey burgers...with some worcestershire, onions, and jalapenos added into the mix to give them some flavor. Probably brocolli and some fruit on the side. Lunch will probably be a sandwich or wrap, using some of the leftovers in the refrigerator.

You probably know that I am a firm believer in daily weigh-ins (especially the "bad" ones) but, I realize that it's not for everyone. I wondered if you were taking meds for that pre-diabetic condition because it could very well clear up by the time you reach goal. You have turned the chart around and are doing well, keep up the good work Onmyway!

I hope as you continue to lose weight your blood sugar stabilizes and you find you are no longer in the 'pre-diabetic' club!!! Nice to see you making steady progress below 200!!! Have a great weekend!!

Thanks for the encouragement! No meds for the prediabetes, not yet anyway...it's just starting to creep into that gray area. The doctor wanted to try diet and exercise for controlling it first. I just keep plugging along and see how things change as I lose weight. I carry most of my weight around my mid-section, which is common in those predisposed to diabetes...and it's HARD to get rid of it there.
