Started Atkin's last week. Lost 5 pounds :) But broke my toe into the joint :( in pain and can't work out. I am determined to lose weight by May for my daughter's First Communion. HELP!!!

There's a quote. You lose weight in the kitchen and get firm in the gym. 80% of losing weight is about diet. So just stick with the diet and you should lose. Exercise may help you burn more calories and is very important. But you can lose. You can also look into upper body exercises with light hand weights. Take care of your foot, watch your food intake and you should be fine.

Hi. Thank you so much for the advice and support. I am going to the podiatrist next week...Valentine's Day :) Still hurts but at least I lost some weight. I was thinking that too. When I am able to I will hit the speedbag and punching bag and in the meantime thank you it's a good idea to do some hand weights. I need to get rid of my bye-bye arm anyway :) Billy Blanks 24/7 and my Belly Dance DVD will have to wait :(
