I’m feeling pretty defeated. I just moved to a new state so I am pretty lonely and then the first thing I do is go to food. Any advice out there?

Moving is so hard and can be so lonely. Food has always been my 'go to'. Are you comfortable enough to go for a walk in your neighborhood? Wishing you the best.

Hello, food definitely will not fix the loneliness, it may temporarily distract you from it, but it's not the answer. Moving can be tough, I moved at the start of my senior year of high school, from experience hang in there I'm sure you'll meet some friends soon enough, in the meantime, when your lonely, maybe go for a walk, learn your new neighborhood. You've also picked a good site for support, the people on here can be very helpful!

Hi Lauren, welcome! You'll find lots of support here. I've been in a new place and lonely, and it really is tough. One thing that helped me was joining a few groups, like library book clubs, or doing some volunteer work, like food banks. Anyway, something that you're interested in. I found it a good way to meet people.

Thank you all so much for the support ♥️ it gave me the boost to put my running shoes back on and eat healthily. I am comfortable Around my neighbourhood and jogged around it today. And I actually found a pretty cool park that I will try out later this week. Again, 🙏 thank you all
