I've been overweight for about 5 years now. I gained a lot during my pregnancies, and never took the weight off. Lately I've noticed my weight is starting to cause problems. I have knee and back pain. I also have trouble sleeping at night. I find myself out of breath when I'm just sitting down. Of course emotionally it has its toll on me. I find myself avoiding Christmas parties or get togethers because I'm embarrassed of how I look.
I plan on walking as much as possible, and doing workouts at home. Also I'm moving in a couple weeks and I'd love to join a gym once I get settled in.

I think we all feel insecure about how we look every now and then, ladies especially. My fiancé also has knee problems, where it pops in and out of the socket willy-nilly. But since he lost weight the problem has gone down significantly, so you are on the right path! He also started his weight loss by walking and counting calories. It worked for him, so as long as you stay positive and stick with it, it will work for you! Good luck!!

I've heard that a lot of the pain goes away with weight loss. I'm hoping for that! Also I still can get a good workout in. I'd hate to get to the point where my exercise is limited.
