Well, when you start eating, you start your metabolism burning so that can lead to hunger. But your metabolism burning means your burning calories and fat. So when you don't eat, your metabolism may slow way down and then you overeat at another meal (which can lead to binging). Your body also only metabolizes a certain amount of food at a time, so if you eat too much at one sitting, you may store a lot of the food as fat. I try to eat every few hours and have some protein at each meal to keep my blood sugar levels even so I don't feel hungry. Protein is good at breakfast to keep you satiated till lunch. Planning small snacks help too.
