2 rest days from Turbo Fire due to not sleeping well, so I haven't gotten up early, plus we went shopping Monday and Tuesday night. Finally got a TF in tonight he 55 minute cardio. I went to lunch w/ some friends yesterday and they all said I look great, they could tell I'd lost a little weight and that my dress helped accentuate my positive areas, ha! Weight was up again on the scale today, but had a high calorie day yesterday. Made today light, plus worked out.
We have our Christmas party at work tomorrow and a cookie bake-off. I'm making Graham Toffers, which are graham crackers w/ a butter/sugar mixture and walnuts on top.
I have decided I'm going to knit Greg a sweater to give to him as my wedding present. Of course it has to be knit in secret. Also, I'd like to do an Aran sweater as we both have Irish ancestry, and he has said he wants this gaelic prayer said at our wedding:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Which I find a little bit strange, but ok. Anyhow, so the myth is that Aran knit stitches have meanings, but now this it is being said this was a myth to sell sweaters. Either way, I'd like to knit a sweater with different stitches even if the meanings aren't "real" they will be real if that's what I intended them to mean. So looks like a lot of looking through stitch patterns, and sketching!
In the mean time I'm knitting Greg's mom an entrelac shawl. I should take some pictures of my knitting to share.
