Catacam's Journal, 22 June 2010

Well today is actually day 9! Not sure how I missed that yesterday was day 8 but ok! Still doing well on my calorie counts and exercise! I went to curves again yesterday at lunch and discovered that the scale there and my scale at home don't match at all, but I won't let that discourage me. I figure as long as I am consistant with the scale, the weight will be the same. It was hard not to step on the scale this morning as I just felt skinnier! :)

So I was talking to my friend yesterday about the my diet plan and she told me that she is doing the HCG diet. She has lost about 30lbs in the last 30 day. Her BF and sister have had the same result and although I am super excited for her, I am having a hard time with the synthetic chemical fix. I remember the phen phen (sp?) days and I hope the same doesn't happen. That being said, she is absolutely one of the smartest people I know and I know she has done her research.

I realized this morning that I am so going to kick Raul's butt on our weight loss challenge. He has made a few changes but nothing I see will really make him lose too much weight. I want him to get healthy and all, but I really want to kick his butt! :)
Cheers

Yeah, that HCG diet seems scary to me. I did do the phen/fen pills and lost 100 pounds (then had 2 kids within 2 years...) I work at a Hospice and had my blood pressure checked every week instead of once a month, if it had gone up at all I was stopping the pills, it never did. I was on half the dose too (and it still worked) This time I'm doing it right, making it a lifestyle change. I have a love/hate relationship with that stupid scale... trying to stick to once a week. You are doing great, just one day at a time.
