I think the two loading days of the HCG should just be low carb days that you eat fat as well as protein as the low carb does help to eliminate food cravings. First day on the low calorie part. The booklet from InShape MD as well as the HCG diet guideline say to cut back to 500 calories. The HCG is suppose to help prevent any muscle breakdown. The staff member at InShape told me to eat 1,000 cal a day. I plan to aim for the 500. My thyroid level is low and I am in menapause so I am a slow burner anyway. I will have to taper down to 500 calories. You only eat the very low cal for 30 days and then do 1,000 for at least 6 weeks before going on to maintenance phase or continue to try to lose wt. OK, to start you have tea in the morning with 1/2 grapefruit. Lunch: 3.5 oz lean protein such as chicken breast or fish filet. 1/2 cup vegetable choice (low carb vegies). Lettuce or spring mix is unlimited. Low calorie dressing such as fat free italian or walden farms. Dinner is the same as lunch. You may have 1/2 cup berries with dinner OR another 1/2 cup veggie.

Good Earth Tea: Sweet & Spicy tea is wonderful. Has a cinnamon flavor and taste sweet without sugar. A good snack or desert tea.
