amanda123's Journal, 14 June 2010

Well the scales finally moved down a little. I think Tom is on it's way out the door. I was 250.6 this morning so I will record 251. I So can't wait to see that scale say 249!!!!! I have to cover 5 chapters in Economics between now and Thursday so I can take my test Thursday night. I have until Tuesday to take the test but the testing center is only open late on Wed & Thurs so if I don't take it on Thurs then I will have to miss work and I don't need to do that. I made meatloaf last night and substituted the crackers for Flax Seed Mill. I wasn't too impressed. I may try using the whole wheat double fiber bread next time. I know it has more carbs but to me the flax meal gave the meatloaf almost a slimy texture. I took my second Biology test over the weekend and made an 88 which I was proud of because the chapter was on Chemistry...yuck! I also took Chapter 3 and it was over cells so that shouldn't be too bad but I don't know my results yet. I had a great weekend - hope everyone esle did also. Happy Monday!

Congratulations on the weight loss, you could record the .6 don't add if you dont have to..lol. You are certainly busy with your studies good for you. I make meatloaf and dont substitute the crackers with anything. I use meat, cheese grated, eggs and any seasonings you like, its great we dont miss the crumbs at all. Have a great day Amanda. :)

I don't know what you are talking about "finally". Sweetie there is not stopping you. Your weight is literally just falling off. By the way, great job on the school.

Thanks Keli, I know I shouldn't say "Finally" it's just that when you are seeing almost a pound a day drop off and then I have 3 days of nothing it felt like forever LOL! I will try doing the meatloaf that way Lenny, what kind of cheese do you use? I guess I like to round up just in case it's water fluctuation or something and I guess I just like whole numbers lol! I honestly think I will get a B in my classes. I was hoping for A's because I wanted to bring my GPA up but even B's will help. I didn't try very hard when I went to college right out of high school and barely passed some classes because I was more interested in playing so I am trying to get that score up now. I thought about re-taking some of the classes I slacked on back then but if I don't have to I just want to get this degree finished.

Amanda, I failed one class. You cannot believe how badly 1 stupid class can affect your GPA. I have been fighting and fighting to bring that up. It is finally in the 3 point something range. Now that I am here, I am trying to up that and get honors by next year. Something to strive for but I will not hold my breath. Your doing good.

I am not sure what mine is and I would probably be ashamed to say. I think I have one D and had several C's. I think it is about a 2.5 or 2.6 something like that. It was all laziness on my part and I will bring it up. It does make you feel stupid. I am actually enjoying my classes believe it or not. That's the problem with me though, it's fun at first but then I get burned out. Hopefully I can stay focused this time.

Yeah but with the motivation that you have right now is going to pay off in the long run. You will be just fine.
