I weighed today. I told myself that I was not going to weigh until Friday. I am trying to break my obsession with the scale. Some days are harder than others. Today, I talked myself into weighing. I literally stood there, looking at the scale, talking to myself! LOL. I said to myself (yes, outloud, LOL) "You are a grown up. If you want to weigh yourself, you can weigh yourself. What's the big deal?" And so, I weighed myself - 6 times, LOL. In my defense, I HAD to weigh six times because the number I saw was so awesome that I HAD to make sure it was real! It was. When I was done weighing on my scale, I ran upstairs to my mother's house and weighed on her scale. (I guess I have a way to go as far as breaking my obsession goes... )
Any way, it's nice to see progress. I feel like I am finally getting somewhere. And I really feel like this is something that I am making a part of me, not just some diet. I know everyone always says "it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. " But I really do feel that way. I am not depriving myself of anything. I am counting my calories but I am not starving myself by any means. Once a week I have something really decadent. And I thoroughly enjoy it, without guilt. But I limit it to once a week and to one serving. So far so good. I haven't been below 220 in a long time. I am getting closer to my first goal of 200. It doesn't feel like it's out of reach anymore.
