When a person gains weight that person ends up losing friends that don't like or care for people that are over weight. On the flip side of that when you start losing weight "people" try to sabotage your efforts or they don't want to be around you because?? WHY? Are they really not your friend(s)? I never for myself thought about if my family or friends were heavy or thin or if I looked thinner or heavier than them. Being over weight is not healthy nor is being too thin but I always thought that I would have the support of family and friends, but even at my age I'm finding out that you can only believe, love and support yourself! It has taken me forever to work on myself and I'm not trying to be thin...just health! ~ Nola 6/3/10

Friends are people who stick with you whether your fat or thin. Take care of yourself and hopefully you will find some good friends in the process. Good luck!

Nola, I feel you....I just want to take care of myself and Some of the people in my life not only don't support me...but they try to make me feel guilty...cuz I am taking time from them or my kids to go to the gym or because I choose to not eat dessert or bacon with my eggs. It is a constant battle for me to stay true to myself and not be swayed by others. Be healthy! Be strong! Love yourself! and know that you are not alone.
