I went to put on a pair of pants that I wore probably 3 weeks ago and they do not fit at all. I'm desperate here because I am a poor college student that can't afford to buy new pants because I'm too big to fit into them. I need some motivation here to keep losing because I lose heart so easily. If anyone is reading this please tell me what your motivations were and if you had a more or less "breaking point." what advice would you give me if I needed to lose a couple of pant sizes within the next month or so. Is it possible? Is it healthy? I'm about to have a serious break down. How do you feel comfortable with your body at all. since I was ten years old I've been aware that I was a little bigger than everyone else. But how do you let go of those insecurities and love your body? I know it's possible, I just don't have any self discipline, structure, motivation, you name it. Please offer any advice. My goal as of now is to fit into my pants!

My breaking point came when I was in a store. A little boy pointed at me and said "look mom, look at the fat lady". I realized some how a long the way I became the "fat woman". I sat in my car and cried. Losing weight and coming to terms with our bodies is a life long on going process. Fitting in to your pants is a good goal. Take those pants an put them where you can see all the time for motivation. Find a plan you can stick to. Build your diet around healthy non processed foods like lean protein, dairy, fruits and veggies. Drink your water to flush out sodium. Find a good caloric intake that will help you lose, but try not to go under 1200 a day. Exercise can really help you fit in those pants. If you do a combo of strength training and cardio you, it will really help you lose inches faster. Jillian michaels 30 day shred is short and kicks butt. If you are healthy, you can commit to doing it every day for a month and maybe some walking a few times a week. Measure yourself before you start, then at the end of the 30 days and see the difference. Tell yourself that you can do anything for 30 days. Buy a calendar and mark off the days (or print a page online). Buy a fitness magazine to read to help motivate you. Whatever can help. You can also get DVD's from the library for free. You can do it.
