Gratefull's Journal, 31 August 2012

Same as before. I looked back on my weight history and was surprised by that I weighed the same thing 1 year ago. While that may be true my body composition is very much changed. Just goes to show that body weight by itself does not really tell a complete story.
168.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 3.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Having been a lifelong dieter and only new to weight training, I am finding it difficult to wrap my head around the concept that sometimes a gain can be a good sign. But, you are right, our weight can be the same, or even more, and our body composition can be leaps and bounds better than it was at a lower weight. Good job on the progress!

Thanks. I find that measuring your body fat helps give some perspective on things. I went from 12%+ to a nice lean 7.5 over that year. If you can measure muscle mass then you really start to get a clear picture of what is happening to your body.
