Why do I go off my diet at family gatherings? What is it about getting together that makes me want to eat with no limits?

Diet Calendar Entry for 15 August 2012:

I find myself eating more around the family too. For me, a lot of it is that I watch others eat a lot, then I feel like I can too. Also, there is some stress involved (good and bad) and that triggers me to keep grabbing desserts or take seconds when I know I'm full and normally wouldn't eat like that.
