showstealer1829's Journal, 26 July 2018

Today marks one year in my journey.

Exactly one year ago I was leaving hospital having been admitted because they suspected my heart might be going. Thankfully it wasn't and all the tests came back negative but it was still a scary experience

Exactly one year ago I weighed 237.5 kilos, my life was spiralling out of control and I was looking at being in my grave before I was 45.

Today I'm at 177.5 kilos, exactly 60 kilos lighter. It's been a journey full of ups and downs. A journey of hard work and a lot of emotions. But it's a journey I needed to make. A journey that is changing my life

And it's still not over. There will be hardships to come, there will be emotional moments, there will be moments when I feel I can't do this. But I will. I'll get there. Small steps. Slow steps. But I'll get there.

I hope those who read this are doing as well in their journeys.
Keep fighting

Congrats and keep it up! I bet you feel amazingly light when you move around and aren’t puffing and panting so much anymore. I mean, 60kg is about the weight of a slim to average woman, so you lost a whole person! That’s amazing!

Well done. Seems to be a lot of new British research saying you should have at least 13 hours strait each day without food, all about body food factory processing routines. So no food after 6 or 7 PM each night. Heard a Brisbane digestion track specialist doctor claim it should be 17 hours of fasting!

I would say it would depend alot on your goals and energy requirements, one thing I have learnt in the last 18 months is their is no 1 diet that is the best. Food is like fuel, different people with different goals and energy needs need different diets.
