yes, it can be tough to stick to sub 37g per day. There are a lot of hidden sugars in the common foods we eat (bread/milk/yogurt etc)

Don't sweat it. If you just don't have any refined sugars and keep an eye on how much fruit you eat you'll be fine, seriously, being too restrictive will drive you crazy and ultimately may make you fail. Deep breath and good luck!

Stay away from refined sugars and you'll be all right. Sugar from fruits is all right, but worth of rember that on average body can absorb about 60grams/hour. If you exced this number, all kcal over it will be turned into fat and stored in your body. 60g/h of carbs is not number set to everyone, but safe assumption most of the time. People who train hard in sport, since long time, may extend carb absorbtion to 90g/h sometime.

I had over 60g but only are an apple and grapes!! The rest was veg and fish. I only had carrot sticks, celery, baby corn, radishes and cucumber for lunch.

Different rules may apply to people with diabetic. In this case, it's better to consult with PhD. I believe in asking at least three sources, cuz one may be right or wrong, you never know :)

The rule of "60g/h carbs" apply to all carbs in the meal, no matter what the source is. My bad, I didn't put it in a first place. Other formula says it's 1g of carbs per 1 minute is absorbtion rate.
