Just diagnosed in May with Type 2 diabetes. Have to get more active and drop this weight! Help! So far Im down 10 lbs but the going is so slow because I hate to exercise.

I too was diagnosed as TypeII in May and i know what you mean on the weight. Just take it one day at a time. A little exercise is better than no exercise. Good Luck

Good job on the road to a healthier lifestyle. One of the key elements to controlling diabetes is exercise. Start out with a few minutes and increase gradually. Don't wait until you're on eleven pills a day and you will need to start on insulin. That's where I was at the beginning of April. I'm down to one pill a day now. Another thing I found helpful is to track everything I eat since I can readily see the carbs:protein ratio for each meal. Hang in there. The first steps are the hardest; it gets easier as you go.
