Kansas_ID's Journal, 28 July 2012

After having a hysterectomy and colonoscopy on June 11, I'm just waiting to start something new until the doctor releases me - around July 28.

In the meantime, before surgery I weighed in at 275 pounds!!!! YIKES!!! That's the heaviest I've ever weighed and was so miserable. Had been walking on a treadmill daily for about 6 weeks before and had not lost a pound even though I was watching calories. Once the surgery was over, within 2 weeks I had lost 20 pounds! I know that was not the weight of the organs removed and much of it was water retention, but whatever it was, I'm now down one dress size and almost a second one and have lost an additional 3 pounds so now I'm at 252 and feeling much better. I've also continued to walk on the treadmill daily for at least 30 minutes and I'm not worrying about how far I walk as long as I walk for 30 minutes. Usually, it's between 2.5-3.0 mph so that length of time results in 1.25-1.5 miles. Not bad for a fat girl!
252.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 102.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Great job! Walking is easy on the joints and a great place to start. I also began cycling and that is not too bad either. Logging you food in the diet caledar every day will help you really see what you are doing, and drink 100 ounces of water daily! You will lose!
