cerobit's Journal, 03 October 2016

I weighed in at 230.8 pounds, did 21 set ups and 26 low wall push-ups and did 20 squats while unloading and loading the dishwasher. Awoke in low to moderate pain, mainly lower back and cervical muscles spasms. Again I had difficulty falling asleep, but better than the previous two nights, and stayed in a good sleep during the night. I have found that the LSD strain of indica seems to keep my mind active and it's hard to get into a conducive twilight sleep. It also seems to promote a peripheral pain aura. The rascal hi CBD strain seems easier to fall sleep, although I can't take it within a couple hours of sleep, or it seems to keep me awake as well. Also, I find taking a muscle relaxer and a oral pain reliever seems to help control the pain, or maybe just put me in a deeper sleep.

My goal is to get to the point where I can eliminate the need for oral muscle relaxers and pain relievers. I know that increased physical activity and body conditioning is the path I have to take. So, I plan to continue to do my morning stretching and easy exercise slowly increasing the reps in force, eventually including things like fast walking, jogging, biking, paddling and maybe then skating? (Skating??). Yeah, I've got a buddy who used to race professionally, but I don't really possibility for me. My 6 foot seven brain tumor ridden body? Riggggght.😏

I am fasting again, started this morning with 3 cups of coffee and generous cream +3 fiber gummies. Its so easy now. Yesterday I didn't eat breakfast till 5 PM, and again made my yummy chipotle pulled pork pita. Had two of them using the very low-carb pita bread that's from the same company that makes the lavash bread that I get at Walmart. It is so satisfying to be able to have bread occasionally, as all you LCHF dieters know. I just hope that it actually is metabolized properly. I still am somewhat suspicious of these low-carb breads.

Anyway I'm hopeful to get some things done today I have a a photography project coming up in a couple days that I have to prep for, in addition to all the other lovely things that I have to complete.

I'm on this side of the green this morning so it's going to be a great day!

Don't look on green arrows, negatively. Where there is will, and a watchful eye, progress will soon follow. I would try vigorous exercise to help you sleep. Try and get off the sleep meds, as they may be counter productive. Some of my friends who smoke pot, and take medications, have sleep issues. Set a time to go to sleep consistently, if possible. Make your sleep environment conducsive to sleep

We are both 6'7" tall! I like keeping a small amount of food in me, throughout the day, and then eat more at dinner.

Thanks Warren, I remember now that as a younger man I used to go to the gym in the evening and work hard take a shower there and then come home and I could fall asleep immediately. I think I'll give that a try!

I have tried the low-carb and gluten-free breads and they all taste disgusting to me. I'd rather just eat the meat alone with veggies.

My back was broken (see profile) What worked For me, Again, what worked for me. #1 ditch the meds #2 increase activity Level. Sativa worked better than indica for activity level. (indica = in da couch) I started off slow with what did not hurt bad, then I slowly grew that slow steady to what I have now. Yesterday I rode 15.1 miles on a bicycle and I have zero pain. I take no medications and my sleep follows my activity level. More active more sleep, less active less sleep.
