OMG, I lost .4 pounds since my last weigh in. :( I can't be building up that much muscle this quick so I hope the reduced calories haven't slowed my metabolism down.

Any thoughts on this?

And I did want to ask a question for anyone reading this. WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN BOTH YOUR NUTRITION PLAN AND YOUR EXERCISE PLAN AND...LOSING WEIGHT IN GENERAL?

I will be changing my image picture every day this week with a message that hopefully motivates you and makes you think. Check it out and let me know what you think?

My biggest challenge is my inner voice telling me it's OK not to workout and to eat junk food as much as I want because I deserve it. I always have to stop and think if I really want to eat another piece of pie or whatever. Maybe your body just got used to your calorie intake and exercise routine and it's time to shake things up.

Thanks Sugar Waffle. Summer is not too far away so this summer I want my swim shorts to not have a belly hanging over them! Lol.

Snezica, I think most people have that little inner voice that you mentioned. On one shoulder we have a beautiful angel all in white telling us to stick to our plan and reminding us of our ultimate goal. On the other shoulder we have a sexy devil in red with a pitchfork and a piece of the delicious pie you were referring to on the fork. She is tempting us by saying, "What's one piece going to do, go ahead." Or "It's ok to skip today." But the problem is, that this little devil will be here tomorrow and the day after as well. So yes, I get exactly what you are saying. Shaking it up is a good thing. Not sure exactly how to do it but I have some ideas. Share if you come up with a few.

I have to remember to log food correctly and stick to portion sizes. I'm counting macros vs just calories and ww points to make sure I'm getting the right ranges... it's tricky

I am just eating what is on my to eat list so I am not consistent with logging in the calories. I have 7 menus for the week, all including 3 meal and 3 snacks a day. It all works out from between 1000 to about 1400 a day and the foods are pretty low carb, with 120 carbs the most. The rest is about 70. Good luck with that Charonai. It reminds me of a song from the 80's called MY SHARONA.

My biggest challenge is not weighing myself everyday : (

My biggest challenge is that I still can't do any exercise for another 7 weeks til I recover from this darn surgery and get the ok from the doctor :(

Having other people around you that eat junk food I am sure is a huge challenge beware5289. dayberndt, that was my challenge for about two years. I will give you a bit of advice. Don't go back to the HARD workouts too soon. I did that and it kept me going backwards because I would always reinjure myself. Do some walking, Tai Chi or something very light until you heal fully.

madanjen, no way! I learned my lessons from past surgeries. I am going to take it slow, walks when the weather is not too cold (cold intensifies my pain) and for the rest, nada until full 10 weeks have passed from surgery date. Then slowly ease back into exercise.

WTG Madanjen!! My biggest challenge is I have a sweet tooth; love calorie dense foods like ice cream, chocolate, etc. My family has type II diabetis history...bad combination.

Thanks! I'm enjoying the new approach I picked up although I'm always surprised how many more carbs I need at the end of the day-- I feel like I'm splurging when I have to resort to eating pasta lol

My biggest challenge with nutrition is moderation, hard to go just a "little" off plan. And like Bill if I have a couple drinks I'm more likely to over indulge. Biggest challenge with exercise right now is pushing myself to strength train consistently, and working around some chronic injuries to do it. Cardio stuff seems easier and isn't a problem. Congrats on the loss!

I feel my biggest challenge is being patient and persistent. But given my history of weight loss and regain, I should probably be thinking it is maintenance!

MMMM - or maybe accepting something Dr. Atkins said: "If you have a weight problem, you have a weight problem for life." At my age that would seem to be the case.

I have a similar issue Draglist. Fortunately I don't drink as much wine as before. That moderation thing is very true jmb3450.

Wow - I really had to think about the question...I guess right now I am challenged with my stupid thyroid medication. I have been doing well with nutrition and training and believe I would have lost a couple pounds this month but...the medication seem not quite yet correct.

🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦 Ice cream! 😫 so good so bad But also just sticking with eating right and realizing that if I mess up it's not an excuse to go off track forever. I love the motivational pics!
