Me too I could sit at that desk 24/7 and the work keeps coming. I'm forcing myself not to work over!

I've got a desk job too, it can be hard to get in the activity during the day. I take as many trips as I can through the building, try to get up and do a walk around the floor when I can and always look for the longest route walking from one place to the next. Whatever you can do, it's better than nothing and the FitBit helps push and keep you motivated.

I actually get in more activity when I go into the office. I normally work from home and try to get in as much fidgeting as possible. When I'm in the office I walk around the building. Any movement will help.

Instead of in office messaging and communicating, try actually walking to the person whom you would like to speak with. Forcing yourself to walk to them instead of just zapping them an email or message will help due to the up walk walk down motion . I've tried and it's actually helped before

It depends on your job how much flexibility you have. I am also stuck at my desk all day and they time us via our phone settings how long we are away. We only have so many minutes a day. I often wish we could get up and move around more. Try some stationary marching at your desk if need be. I have a mini trampoline that I walk or jog on if I'm watching TV and not multi tasking on something else.

I have been using a fax/copier machine a little further from my desk and you would be amazed at the extra steps/activity you get! Also, with drinking the right amount of water--I am running to the restroom and getting more activity. I'm pretty much stuck at my desk, but just the little things help. This may sound goofy, but before I clock in and everyone is there, I will run in place. LOL. It's some form of activity :)
