Today's weigh-in is PROOF (I DOUBT that any ONE of us needed it!! :( PROOF that one day OFF PLAN can OFFSET Six days ON PLAN...I had 95-100% EVERY DAY but ONE this past week...(Friday)...BUT...just ONE cheat day take MOST of us OUT of FAT BURNING MODE (My FS Buddy Frosty Heimdall convinced me of this!! Thanks, Buddy)...Plus I did not have an OVERALL increase my exercise. RE-FOCUS...RE-LOAD....RE-Commit...this is a New Day and a New Week...and Yes, this is an ULTRA-Marathon (not a sprint)...See y'all on the mountianside...Keep Climbing!!!!!!
PS: I'm gonna post IN RED until I get BELOW my next mini-goal (320)...Surgeon visit on 6/30...I am soooo tempted to call and re-schedule BUT that is NOT good accountability, NOR a good example...so I will stay the course there as well :(
327.0 lb Lost so far: 47.0 lb.    Still to go: 87.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sometimes we hit little plateaus and hang on to the same weight for a while before continuing down, perhaps that could be happening for you? But I do agree with you, one day of going too far off plan and we have to work hard to catch up. I had a gain this past week because of that. You know best what it is you need to do - keep pushing forward, next goal in sight.

You can do this! Just get yourself back on track. You are right, we are in a marathon. Just kick it up for the next leg. :)

Take it a day at a time too. Professional athletes like gymnasts are concentrating on their next move and maybe the move after that, ie. tumble, layout, triple back flip, etc.. They have rehearsed their routine for weeks and even months prior so they know how it'll look, but all their effort is on the next movement. Professional rally course drivers are focusing on the next turn, hill, switchback, tarmac/dirt change. They've driven the course before but if their focus is on turn 45 when they're on turn 10, they're going to miss their entrance, angle of the turn, apex, and speed and end up slowing down or crashing. You have proof that you know the overall movement. Think just about today and break it down even smaller. This Meal. This Snack. This Forkful. Focus on the hear and now. Master the smaller movements and the routine will perform itself.

Keep that appointment! It is a reminder for you about what this is all about at the least and I bet he tells you so many good things! I have not allowed myself a *cheat day since I started this as I am trying very hard to not think of this as a diet but a lifestyle change.
