Those are words of wisdom right there!

Thanks, everyone! Tulipgirl, the "Fiber Therapy" is a sugar free psyllium powder It is orange flavored and tastes sweet, but there is no sugar in it. The brand name is Equate, but I suppose it is similar to Metamucil or Citrucel or you might find the same "Fiber Therapy" by another company. I bought the Equate brand at walmart because it is SUGAR FREE! How to take it? BEFORE dinner I make a cup of hot green tea in a tall glass and add 2-4 ice cubes in it to cool it off. AFTER dinner, I add the fiber therapy to the room temperature tea and stir it up. If it is too thick, I add some water. I drink it as fast as I can. That's it! I started with 1 teaspoon a day because I was not sure how it would affect me. The fiber therapy can also be used as a laxative, so I was careful with it. After a while I went to 2 teaspoons and now I am at 3 teaspoons and that is the best dose for me. Of course you could add the fiber therapy to a tall glass of water, the simple way. I was just thinking I could use my green tea as the liquid because I am drinking it after dinner anyway, and I don't need to add sweetener to my green tea because the fiber therapy is sweet already. Saved one packet of sweetener. ;)

Thank you for this good advice, Deb. Everyone's situation is different, & we all have to do the best we can. What works well for one, or even for many, may not wfor others.
