Must remind myself of the benefits to exercise. I can force my body to drop weight - heck I could 'starve' myself to skinny... but what the heck would I actually 'look like'???

I don't want to look flabby - I want to look firm.
I don't want to be skinny - I want to be 'curvy'.
I don't want to jiggle - I want to be toned and fit.

With all that said - getting back to exercising has always been something my body has to make adjustments to. For some, it just burns up more calories and helps them in their 'weightloss' journey. Not so much for me, as I have always noticed an uptick in my weight when I work out.

I typically have to tell myself to be patient with my body - as it's a 'slow mover'.

With all of that... I am down a pound from last week's weigh in. And while I would love to have it all come off in a week and get back to where I was... I know that isn't going to happen!!!

I am going to remain positive, be happy about my one pound... and look ahead to doing the same things this week, and reach for that one pound at my next weigh in!!! Eventually - I will be further down this road than I am right now.

Maintaining enthusiasm, motivation, clarity... keep my head down... focus, and eventually one week will turn into two weeks, into a month... of good healthy eating, exercise, and a generally good lifestyle!!! Whatever the scale says.. I will be happy with that!!!

Well done on the pound..... You are so right with your "I don't want to be......" insights. The weight number, is just that, a number..... It is how we 'look' that is more important (provided we are a healthy weight of course). Do you take your measurements?

I did take my measurements this time...on New Year's Day! I am going to record them once a month to measure the changes... so we will see how that turns out. Of course, Curves measures them too... so there's no getting around that! I am sure they are changing. Just don't want to get too hung up on the 'results' of the scale... because that can throw me off and depress me... when you think you are doing all you know to do... and it seems soooooo slowwwww! Have to remind myself changes are happening elsewhere!!! :)

I so hear you, I want it ALL and I want it NOW! You are doing very well though, 1 lb is great, its going in the right direction. Hang in there, I'm hanging too.

Of course you should be happy and confident about the one pound - especially since that is one pound lost in the right way. You are in this for the long run - one day at at time - one pound at a time.

A pound down is better than a pound up ANY day!!! Good job!
