Hi everyone,
Went to a baseball game last night. Thought I was doing a good job preparing by checking out what food they had before I went. There was a deli at the ballpark that had chicken caesar salads.

Too bad the place was incompetent - the line wasn't moving and I had no hope it ever would. So I opted for a hotdog with no bun. It just didn't cut it so I got peanuts. Those didn't cut it.

I got home and ate 2 bowls of raisin bran. And then the crumbs out of a bag of chips.

That, my friends, is how a binge transpires.

And what did it all start with?? LACK OF PREPARATION.

I needed to bring my dinner with me. I needed to eat before I went to the game. I needed to have some almonds or some "legal" snack with me and water.

I have been doing this long enough that you would think that I would know better by now. I would know what it takes to be successful.

It is like being in a boxing match. I watched an MMA match the other day and the guy put his hands down for 2 seconds and he got punched in the face and knocked out. YOU MUST BE EVER VIGILANT. You think you are prepared - but then you get punched in the face and you are eating crumbs out of a bag.

I have been doing this long enough to also know that this is a journey and I can either get fed up and give up or just learn and move on. Today is a fasting day so I will be drinking my water and thinking happy thoughts of being on track again!

Thanks everyone - I decided to forgo fasting today. My work anxiety is up really bad and that just pushes me over the top. I need to eat a healthy dinner. I have chicken and zucchini noodles with a little bit of sauce.

Yes, preparation. I'm just getting back into that, am rusty and scraping my knees. Will post tomorrow about what I could have done better on short road trip, and what went ok. Sharing here is so helpful in gaining clarity and figuring out how to move forward. Hope your work stress gets better soon.

Oh, and I've been relying on my EDC food more than I'd expected. Need to expand variety beyond almonds, jerky, collagen, coconut oil, bc already so boring.
