Here it is Saturday and so much for the warm weather, now it is cold. Too bad for the pear trees and flowering shrubs, they thought it was spring and everything bloomed! I had yet another good day Friday and resisted all manners of temptations. I know today will be just as good. LCHF is a great option for me. I can be full and not cheat, but I have been keeping my calories down also. I have a plan for today and that is to stay on my plan and not revert to haphazard eating which always brings me down.

"Haphazard eating" - I think I must do that too, but maybe I'm completely unaware. When I started back on my program I felt satisfied but I was restless because I knew I could not just grab a bite to eat willy-nilly. I guess I had developed a habit of doing that. Now I try to put space between eating sessions - 4 hours, if possible.

I slipped up and had snacks last night. Happens after drinking wine ... but we watched a movie and I thought it called for Skinny Pop Corn. Hubby bought it ... I blame him! :) I worry about the new buds on the trees and bushes too. :(

I stayed on plan yesterday too. I get to wanting starchy stuff at night. Cookies and chips and such. So I keep grapes handy and I only eat one at a time til the craving goes away. Just wish I wouldn't crave that starchy stuff that I LOVE!! Well, I guess I have to have something that keeps me focused. It was 74 in SC today and the temp will drop to 33 overnight. SO sad for all the beautiful blossoms.

Starchy foods always leave you wanting more. A good after supper snack is baby carrots dipped in ranch or blue cheese dressing. I know that carrots aren't on the Atkins plan, but they are low in calorie and really not that bad in carbs. I eat a lot of pork skins too. It is best to not reach for the chips and cookies

I wish I could eat the pork rinds. They make me retain fluid badly.

If I let my carbs get too low, I find myself craving all sorts of things. At the moment I am doing Atkins with a strong dose of the information from the Wild Diet. I am trying to eat as clean as possible, so no faux foods. I also find that by adding a bit of fruit to my diet, I can stop the cravings. If I have been on plan all day, a clementine or a few strawberries before bed is nice. And I think I sleep better, too. Also want to recommend a product: Explore Cuisine Organic Endamame Pasta. Protein loaded, low in carbs. Very high in fiber, so I only eat half a serving for 5-6 net carbs. I think it would be a great side with just garlic butter and parmesan.
