inayat's Journal, 17 January 2017

So, I totally gave up on my weight. Between my job, my depression, and my family situation , I gave up. I started back on my meds in August, and by the end of the month, I was ready.

I stepped on the scale and found that not only had I put on all the weight I lost in 2014, I was 23lbs heavier than when I started. I almost gave up and didn't even try again. Then I had three job interviews with a new company.

They were going so well, until I went to the fourth interview. As soon as I walked in, and shook the interviewer's hand, I knew I had lost the job due to my weight. Nothing was ever explicitly said, but we both knew. We went through the motions, and a half an hour later, I walked out of that office knowing I wouldn't receive an offer.

I started the very next day. FatSecret had always been such a help, so I came back. I promised myself that I wouldn't write this journal entry until I lost all the weight I gained back, and hit the 150lbs total lost point. Today, 4 1/2 months later, I hit that goal. I have lost 86 lbs since August 31St, and 150lbs total since my highest recorded weight!

I still have 110lbs to go, but this time, I have an awesome real-life diet buddy who holds me accountable, and a job that keeps me walking 5 miles a day instead of sitting on my ass all day. I'm back to reading people's journals daily and am on course!

I still have a long way to go, but I successfully lost weight over the holiday season, and still ate sweets and drank on New Year's. I am going to celebrate this weekend by going to the local vape shop and getting a new tank for my mod and some peppermint flavored juice. Then, after I lose 10lbs more, I am going to get two new pair of work pants and a new bra!

I am not going to give up. I may have knocked myself down for a while, but I got back up, brushed off my knees, and kept on going!
259.8 lb Lost so far: 150.2 lb.    Still to go: 109.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Inayat - Congrats on all your hard work. Dieting is hard, but after you have fallen off the wagon, it is the most difficult thing to do, to get back up. You seem to have succeeded in that. Congrats. Kathryn

Inayat, The only thing I can think is your supertank may be missing one of the top o-rings. (there are two under the mouthpiece) Or one of the o-rings for the glass may be leaking. If you take it apart, and the oring is stuck ot the glass, i usually peel it off and put it back into the metal part. Thats all I can thnk of, mine has not leaked so far, i use thick juice. The crown is very good too! I Also have a reuleaux rx200!
