Good morning friends :) What a beautiful start to the day. How nice of you to join me for my 2nd cup of coffee! It's good to spend time together.

Yesterday I worked until my brains fell out my ears but I feel good about what I got accomplished. I think I caught my boss specifically not answering me yesterday to force me to take control of a situation (I had asked his opinion before a reply to a sensitive situation). Later in the day (after I had taken care of it) he replied to the email "no need for me to filter :)". I replied...Still leery about trying to fit my whole shoe in my mouth at once. Thanks though". He's growing me. And while it can be uncomfortable to take that first step and be confident, he knows I can do it or he WOULD have told me what to say/do. I want to manage like that. Grow people. I'm good at encouraging, I'm not sure I'm good at the growing part. Something to think about and work on because it's a learned skill.

Food yesterday was good, ate a little more at dinner but stir fry - homemade, good stuff, no rice. Today should be more of the same.

Anyway, today's plan is groceries, lawn and bushes, and hopefully catching up some on MY work that hasn't been getting done. Sunday I'll help a friend refresh on a portion of coding she hasn't been involved in for a while to prep for an interview she has coming up. Glad to see her grow and stretch. It'll be good to see her either way.
