warrenwinter's Journal, 29 May 2016

Wow, a happy Sunday to all! Is there such thing as a diet church? Because, forgive me father for I have sinned! Was it the Lil Caesars Deep Dish, or maybe eating at Mimi's, or just possibly, just not really caring? The signs of this murder are all around; half empty pizza box, dirty dishes, empty wallet. Time for solace, retribution, and reflection toward a better diet in the future. Everyone have a wonderful day, while I ponder my sorry fate.

Well, what can I say, but it's true! I'm No Angel! Greg Allman

WW, congratulations! So you and Glen win the fatsecret Wordsmith award! The fat fairy will be delivering it to you soon. She likes how you guys chew the fat. Unfortunately, unlike her sister, the tooth fairy, she does not pay for body parts.

Expressive language is an art, like so many arts. It is a way to take an expressive brush of thoughts to describe to others. Thank you, Lifeatrip! I like your name, because life is a trip. lol

Look how Trump uses lies and expressive language to put down others, to the influence of others.

LOL Warren!!! I need to attend the same church today. Forgive me father, I have sinned. I drank a whole bottle of cabernet last night and finished the evening with a midnight run to In-n-out. But... the concert was fabulous and we had a wonderful night. Not gonna waste these precious moments. My man is only in town for 3 days (he's out of town working a 6 week case and they let him come home for conjugal visits every two weeks... LOL)

Not only does Spam have a ton of calories, have you checked out the sodium!! That alone could cause the weight gain!! I do like the taste on occasion, but fortunately it is so salty (even the lower sodium variety) that I can't eat much of it.

All is forgiven Warrenwinter. Not that forgiveness is needed. If there was a diet church, they would preach the same as all churches, we need spirituality and community for support, because none of us are perfect. I'm on my way to a new "diet" journey next Wednesday and I'm struggling not to have "the last supper". But I'm determined to look at food as nourishment and a tanttalization or the sesnes, not either or. : )

Dang.... i love spam but haven't had it in years. My mom used to grate it and sprinkle it on the waffle batter when she made us waffles. Then with syrup all over it??...... sweet, salty, crunchy, YUM!

Pandasmom, I worry more about the preservatives, than the salt. The salt is a preservative, also. I did get the low sodium, but the calories is kind of frightening. That is funny, Laura, Spam on pancakes, it has become over the years, and easy way to take meat out of a can, and put in with anything. I ate an entire can in two days, and didn't even cook it. Just spooned out of the can. Laura, your are correct! Yum Yum!

Good luck with the diet, Maternalone! It is always a balance between fulfilment, and calorie loss. lol Find foods that work in filling you up, and stop cravings. My favorites are avocados, Cashew Clusters and Pistachios from Costco; fish like salmon and tilapia and raw veggies.

Reminds me, the original 7 astronauts used to say they didn't want to become "spam in a can" from a mishap with the space capsule.

I'm afraid it is a battle that never gets easier with age, Redgirl. lol Trackin, no doubt spam has a long history. Don't you wonder how internet crap was named spam? lol

I love the pics you posted today of all of the pups. I shared them with my kids and we oohed and awed over them. So awesomely adorable. Thanks for sharing, it put a smile on our faces to start the day.

And, I LOVE SPAM!!! Unfortunately, I had to stop eating it in order to get my blood pressure back down to "normal." Oh, the humanity! :-)

The 14 contestants studied had lost 130 pounds, on average, six years prior. “They lost a huge amount of weight in the competition [and] they regained a substantial amount,” Hall says.
