Have a great weekend everyone. I got extra work to catch up on, also will be moving June 28...Ugggh... Looking for a larger place, Plus apt complex raised my rent and Buddy the cat rent... My small one bedroom is now $915 a month.... Looking for a better Deal.
Got into it with Apt Manager over raising Buddy's rent-She had the nerve to insult my cat....I had to leave before I lost my temper

Thanks Carmen!!! The Search is on!!! :) They hike Buddy's Rent from $10 a month to $20!!! Buh Humbug! Then apt manager rattle on about the damage cats do and urinating on carpet... Buddy only goes to the bathroom in his little box and has not done any apt damage. I shampoo and vacuum carpets every 2 weeks.

You could have a mortgage less than that. Every thought about buying instead of renting? My daughter pays a high rent also. I tell her the same thing. Congrats on that weight loss.

Thanks Carmen & Mom2Boxers!! Thanks Mom2Boxers for your input. The homeowners insurance,taxes ect is still higher than rent in Florida. Plus I get my pension in 5 years. I rather relocate to a cheaper and a little bit cooler state. But I do appreciate your input MOM2Boxers!! :)...Thanks Again!

I feel sorry for people who feel the need to insult our pets - they are missing something in their lives. My cat is cuter and nicer and kinder than some people I know, and I bet Buddy is as well.

Good luck with your apartment search. I never did understand the extra rent charge for a pet. Even if some pets do damage, isn't that why they have a security deposit? It's just a stick-up for more rental income.

Thanks Panda!! :) Thanks to All fatsecret supporters. Panda like other FS members mentioned (noted trackin mentioned) its a way for apt complexes to get money. I paid a $300 up front deposit for Buddy when I moved in. They charge dog owners $500 Deposit and the dog rent was $25 a month and now dog owners must pay $40 a month.
