that did not end well...

started yesterday the triatlon.
i felt really bad, but i guessed it must be nerves, so i went anyway, and before i hit the water i already entered the bathroom three times...
swimming went well to my surprise, i did not feel the need to go potty, so i made good time, 30 laps (50m) in about 45 minutes. as soon as i left the water i felt the need to go to the toilet again... wondering if it was still nerves i enetered the spinning-room.
It was all in good fun, spinning with a lot of beginners, so we took it easy... but i felt worse and worse, pain stinging in my side and when i left the bike, i knew i was not ok, and i knew it was not nerves...

in the changeroom i decided not to go on with running. I had been training for this and i knew i could make 4 laps in an hour, but the pain in my side got worse ... it even made me wonder if it was appendix or something...

so i forfeited the event ... with pain in my heart (and my side)

at home it took some time for the pain to go down, but eventually it did, ruling out serious injury like appendix or something. But i did have a fever, and today (lucky for me a restday, so no serious breech in my scedule) i am still ill...

had 80km planned tomorrow, already planned that back to 50, but maybe i will need to take a second restday instead...

motto of the day:
listen to your body ALWAYS!

even if it means forfeiting a game, or rescedule your workout plan!

Feel better soon. There is always another race, even though its hugely disappointing. It's more important to take care of you.

thank you HCB, and thank you all for all the support! feeling better today, gonne cycle for an hour with my husband, so i posponed the 80km ride i had planned, instead im trying out this new saddle i want to buy... and doing some low level maintenance to my bike and my body...
