Good Evening, FS Warriors! Just another manic Monday! Haha! In case you didn't catch it, that's a song, but of course you can't hear me singing it. You should see my scars from the new puppy. She has teeth like needles and one arm looks like I've been in a gladiator fight in the colosseum. I've taken a few videos but by the time I get them uploaded and posted, she'll be all grown up. I spent most of the day writing up a proposition to get my youngest team member promoted. It's hard to get people promoted in-place. It's easier to transfer to another position or location to get promoted. I'd rather not lose him. So, I gave it my best shot; if it happens, it happens.
Stopped to get a tool to help with rust removal on the truck, and there just happened to be a Hardees right around the corner. Whoops, I did it again! Two cheeseburgers - but, Oh wait, I had a diet coke. :( They're not that great; I don't know why I do that. To be quite honest, DW has been unpredictable lately, something off kilter with her meds or something. She's been in touch with the Doc, and to the ER, and I don't know whether she is going to be in bed all day or up and and about and going to make supper. Well, today she was energetic, so I ended up eating two cheeseburgers and then taco salad when I got home. I'm not telling her I ate on the way home. I'm a glutton, but I'm not stupid.
The pup is too young to be left wtih the big dog all day; heck, she can't even get through the big doggie door yet. So she stays in a fairly large kennel all day. It's about half the size of a normal bedroom. and it has a wide open view to where the big dog comes in and lies up next to her. I go out with them both for about 45 minutes in the morning at about 4:30 or 5, and about the same in the evening, during the week. When I'm working outside on the weekend, I have them both out with me, and they both stay right with me. She's a spitfire, and she loves to pounce on him and latch onto his ear. Her teeth are really sharp, and he can only take so much of it, and turns on her and lets her know it, but then he comes back and gives her kisses later. I think they are going to be just fine when she gets some of the puppy out of her.
Nursing home visit Wednesday, and Seniors dinner Thursday. District church convention all day Saturday. Next week should be a little more relaxed, but who cares, I'm livin the dream! Haha! Better than the alternative. Still looking at the sod from above. Hope everyone has a great evening, and a better day tomorrow. Toodles!
