I am finding on my lifting days I have zero appetite.It isn't much of a problem because I prefer to workout on a fairly empty stomach anyway.Just a protein shake a couple hours before is how I feel best.The problem is that I workout in the evening.About an hour after and the entire following day my appetite is through the roof.It makes sense but it sure doesn't make it very easy when trying to restrict calories for weight lose.I know who said life is supposed to be easy? lol On another note I tried black tea for the first time in I don't know how long,maybe ever, can't even remember.Had a really bad reaction and became nauseous to the point of getting sick within 20 minutes of drinking.Won't be doing that again anytime soon!

When I was lifting I had the same thing. I started taking psylium husk tablets, basically fiber pills that expand in your stomach making you feel fuller (they have it in powder too but it was nasty). I would take them when I was most hungry and drinking at least a gallon of water a day. Sure I felt like I slushed around and I had to pee every 10 minutes but I didn't want to eat everything in sight anymore. I miss lifting. :(

I've taken psylium husk in the powder form and it is a bit thick to drink.Didn't take it to feel full though just to keep things moving on a low carb diet.I think I'll give the tablets a try.Hope you can get back to lifting soon, it's definitely my favorite part of all of this :)

seriously? you miss lifting? what do you call those wriggling 30 and 40 pound weights you carry around all the time?!

I add some golden flaxseed meal to unsweetened almond milk with some davinci sugar free sweeteners for a filling drink for both the roughage and to feel fuller some days. Tasted a heck of alot better than the psyllium.

Thanks Nicholaix, I have had almond milk but never tried mixed with flaxseed. Go Ya right now I am basically doing a push/pull/legs split 3 days a week.Normally would be doing 5x5 heavy but since I am cutting calories I'm going a bit lighter doing 6-10 on the push pull and 8-12 on legs.

I should have been more specific. I blend them together so it's like a smoothie.

Nicholaix Thanks will give it a try.Sweetincense4iam it's going to be a long time before I go near any type of tea. Something about it doesn't seem to agree with me but thanks :)
