Arrevanthas's Journal, 30 December 2014

So we had a power outage for several hours so I have not workout still which drives me nuts. I will soon though since obviously it's back on. I hope everyone is having a great day and achieving whatever goals they have set for themselves. Today has been rather low key since no power lol but it was nice. Spent some time with the girls and then worked on a jigsaw puzzle. The house is clean thanks to no distractions lol! So I feel pretty accomplished. Now I just need to force myself to workout and all will be well! :D

I was thinking of trying a different workout at night just because the current one I keep saying I am going to do doesn't usually happen. This one involves a balance ball so...it might be fun. Dunno yet but I will try it tonight and see how I like it. If I do like it then I am going to start doing that one at night so I can be more active. Anyhow, I suppose I should leave it here and go workout now lol!!

Even though you don't electricity at times, it sounds like you are enjoying the time with your kids. Are all of your exercising routines on DVD?

Yup. I don't have the funds to join a gym so I stick with DVDs and then general activity like cleaning house, going for walks and playing with the kids. :)

I don't go to the gym, either. I use what I have at home. I don't know if you have heard of Greatist. I have just started using it, it totally free and has great articles and exercise tips. It might have a balance ball routine, though I am not sure. I start using the "30 dumbell exercises missing from your routine and it is building up my arms and legs. The link is listed below. //greatist.com/move/best-free-workout-videos-youtube. There are 21 free video's. Kids are a greatest motivator to get out and get moving. My grandson who is 8 yrs old has done a few exercise video's on you Tube for the family to watch. I keep his picture in our family exercise room to keep me motivated. And my new pup Zeus keeps me moving, we do to 20 minute sessions on the treadmill and walk to the mail box which takes 10 minutes. Wishing you great success in 2015. Enjoy your day. Truly, Jen

My grand kids love my dumbbells, bought the kids workout related stuff for Christmas. It's fun to do with the kids. Just an fyi, aldi's has balance balls for $6.99 this week and 3 piece kettle ball sets (5#, 10#, and 15#) for $19.99, an exercise trampoline for $24.99. I have a set of dumbbells that I use at home, a balance ball, trampoline, and a gazelle. May splurge on the kettle balls and a new balance ball for my main floor, the kids put a hole in it. That way I will have one on each floor again. I also like going to my gym, it's $10.00 a month otherwise it would be too pricey. Cleaning up my cluttered workout space today, it's full of partially sorted clothes, most in piles to go to the salvation army tomorrow, too big for me now.
