Wow, this morning I had to dig out my sewing machine and take up my bras, I had them on the last notch and still they were riding up because they did not fit snugly to my rib-cage. I had to cut both the hooks and eyes and remove the elastic all the way back to the shoulder strap and sew the hooks and eyes back on, still have to hook them into the 3rd set of eyes, but they are supporting me again, on the plus side, I am still filling the cups :) for now! I have discovered that my XXXL sweats swallow me, but they have drawstrings so they don't fall off and it leaves me plenty of room inside for long johns. Hubby got my hanging space built so my treadmill is back in use, thank goodness! It's waaaaayyyyy too cold to be outside walking this week. It's 23 degrees here this morning. I like Fall, with 50-60 degree temps, this frigid cold is so not my idea of fun!!!! I didn't think about my underwear when I was contemplating not having to buy new clothes until I hit the half-way mark to my goal but it looks like my first purchases will have to be 38 or 36 bras, don't know how small to go to make them last me through at least 3 size changes. If you busty ladies out there have any suggestions, please feel free to offer them before I go spending money in the next few weeks!

I had to give in and buy new bras. Just bought 2 cheap ones at Wal-Mart. That will last me through the rest of the weight loss when I'll buy some good ones that will last.

Your loss is very impressive!! Taking in your bra was something I'd never thought of. Your undies will be sagging next!! Keep up the good work. I agree with msbuggirl...buy cheaper but well-fitting bras for now. Make sure they are a little snug on the last hook, so you can tighten as your body dwindles. :)

I can sympathize with your bra dilemma. Mine are all too big now. Was never able to buy them big enough before. I am hoping Santa will bring me a new one. I agree with Msbuggirl get a few cheap ones at Walmart for now. We have a great bra shop here in town. They measure you every time you shop but they are expensive. I am looking forward to the time when I can buy pretty, fancy underwear. Good for you in being crafty enough to alter your bras.

Treat yourself to a lovely sexy bra & wear it to death until you hit the next size. That way both you & hubby enjoy the transition!

LOL Suzy! At this point in my weight loss, lovely and sexy have no meaning what so ever! All of my firm rounded curves have been replaced by hanging, loose jiggly flab and gravity is NOT my friend! At some point things will firm back up. That is when I will start back to lovely and sexy, right now....cover it up! I look fantastic with it covered up :)

I buy my bras from TJ Maxx. Always a great selection of bras under $10, and always a great quality, and the original prices were as high as $60. These are quality bras and you can try them on before you buy. Give TJ's a try. I love them :).

Good Job! When your bra doesn't fit right then you know you're making progress. Keep up the good Work.!
