wholefoodnut's Journal, 20 October 2014

My Monday. Much better day today. Fuzzy feeling mostly gone, reared a few times during the day as did the dizziness, took a couple minutes break and was ok.

Meals ok. Need to put a recipe in my cookbook and figure out calories for dinner, take off on pazzolie's baked spaghetti. Used fresh veggies and whole wheat pasta, 2% mozzarella and fresh grated parmesan. Turned out good and have 2 more servings. Doing some desert, some sautéd apples, coconut sugar, and cinnamon added to some plain yogurt.

Did several errands. In my travels, did get the grandsons Royal's t shirts and one for me at HyVee. shouldn't have spent the $$$ on me but I did. It's been since 1985 since they competed in the series or even came close.

Stopped in a thrift shop to see if they had any team shirts. Sold out but found a couple the right color that I can wear to work $1.50. I guess new jeans will be next month. Work said team shirts but they usually mean like polos with an insignia, not sure yet if t-shirts are legit. At least I can wear the appropriate colors. I also splurged on a grill type cast iron 7"square grill frying pan for $5.49. Deal!

In all a good day, exercise is walking to do normal stuff. Very tired not up for formal exercise. Dishes will wait for tomorrow, dogs are outside, time to prep coffee and climb into bed. A few minutes checking notifications and lights out by 8:30.

Take care of yourself with the dizziness. I have had bouts of benign positional vertigo in the past and when you lose your balance it can be a little scary. Go Royals! Nice to see them back in the WS.

Nice score on the pan! Heard someone on the radio saying last time the last time the Royals won the series you were rockin the sweet side ponytail and listening to Ah he's Take On Me. I was think yeah I just turned 13, so yeah sounds about right. Then I was thinking at least I'm not a Cubs fan (I'm not a baseball fan art all actually), because if I were alive the last time the Cubs won the series I'd be dead. My kids would be dead, their kids would probably be dead...

Dizziness is from banging me head a good one. It's better everyday. 1985 series for the Royal's win, they's I think been in the bottom 3 since!! My oldest daughter was 10. I'm more a fan of my grandkids ball games, usually too busy with that to follow baseball but hey it's our hometown team! Actually used to go to Wrigley field with my grandfather when I was a kid, he lived between Milwaulkee and Chicago and had both Braves and Cubs season tickets.

Who are the royals playing anyway I keep forgetting to check. The way I see it, the cubs will never win. They make far too much money by being losers. They just tore down the bleachers. Sacrilege.

San Francisco giants, not doing so well at the moment. 3/0 giants ahead. I won't stay up to the end, need my sleep to function tomorrow. My cast iron grill/skillet works great. Actually had meat for dinner to try it out! On sale 99 cents pound, if I buy meat it's usually under $2.00 a pound, unless its something ground like sausage or ground met. This was ground but my corner store was trying to use up an excess purchase so ground up some pork cuts in the store.

I love cast iron skillets, but I'm terrible at taking care of them. So did you have a pork burger?

I did have ä pork burger. Cast iron is forgivable, just scrub it with steel wool and re-season it. You know I mostly do vegetarian with sometime forays into the realm of animal proteins. Tonight was a one of those, since I discovered a low price at a store I trust, and talked o the meat guy..the extra proteins probably a plus today. really wanted to test my need pan LOL
