I heard this today on Ted Talks. (Brain chemistry lifehacks: Steve Ilardi at TEDxKC) Sitting is the smoking of our generation. My thought: those before us destroyed their active bodies with smoking. We destroy our bodies with inactivity.

Why not? On dog story of my own. On my walk this morning a little dog attached herself to me and joined me on my walk. Then she walked me home. Well I'm a bit vulnerable in the pet area now. So I gave her a bath and some food and water (she was eating acorns in the park). I left her at home napping while I went to bible study. Then after I got home she made it clear that she wanted another walk. So we went back to the park and all around it looking for her people but no luck. Hubby says I can keep her and got her a collar and leash (I had to improvise this afternoon since I'm not a leash law breaker). The male golden at our house is going nuts because he wants to be more friendly than she is ready for. The 2 cats stood on the table looking quite interested. So, for now it looks like we're foster parents. Good thing she likes to walk. All told I walked 8.94 miles. We're both tuckered out.

lol. Yeah. Retrievers are like that. Ginger was extremely outgoing. I said no to that dog because our dog will go on walks of 10 miles or more. I'd do it if I felt that dog could manage it. Happily, the 3 legged dog has been adopted. There's a right place for each. I won't take one that I don't think will fit is. The way I see, I'd be getting something that doesn't work for me and keeping it from someone whom it could work for.
