Hi Gang,
Is it Friday already? This week has been a blur and I am really at a loss on the weigh in today. I gained .4 pounds from my last weigh in.

I know I haven't been doing the workouts as planned because business has got me swamped and I am beat when I finally get done but my eating has been very healthy.

I've always gotten great advice from you guys and girls so let me ask you: Can stress reduce normal weight loss?

Hope your week has gone well and have a great weekend!!
212.0 lb Lost so far: 57.0 lb.    Still to go: 47.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.9 lb a week

When you have a deadline for getting things done, you stay up late or get up early, have financial difficulties, it all adds up to stress in your life. Cortisol is released and that means your body will start storing the calories. I guess it is our body's way to protect us from losing weight and getting ill. :)

Yes, indeed on the stress impeding weight loss. But also for not working out you are doing quite well. Those little bumps up are very minimal. I know it's hard to see any uptick when your goal is to lose but as soon as you are back to your routine your progress will fall inline.

In weight loss with calorie restriction especially when adding exercise is complex process. -500 calories a day you might be able to recover from your workouts and still have all the nutrients you need while 1000 you won't recover and your body will work hard to conserve energy. More isn't always better IMO.

Oh man can it ever! But lot's of things can, loss of sleep, being over tired you name it. When the major stress has passed you will lose again. Keep up the good eating and get back to the workouts when you can.

Thanks you all so much for the advice and support. I will love the day when each and everyone of us hits our goals and gives each other a big high five and a cyber hug to a job well done. I am so glad you are I are together on this journey. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to share experiences with.
