Woke up in a motivated mood. I knew I needed to buckle down and rededicate myself to get back on track. Yesterday, I could hear my old mind saying "it's only a little bite here and there of that cake, etc." ringing in my ears! This morning I was determined to get my head on straight so I didn't sabotage my efforts so far.

So with that mind set, I made a pot of steel cut oats, and took a few moments to plan out my foods for the day.

I knew I was going to be with my quilt ladies for the day sewing, including lunch. I love them and quilting but I struggle with all the "fun snacks and luncheons" that we all enjoy while we sew and quilt. I would say at least 60% of the ladies are diabetic, but the sugary treats never detour them. Most of the ladies are very overweight, and the quilting lifestyle is not helping matters. It is so easy to sit and sew for hours without taking any breaks. Most of the ladies have difficulty walking after sitting for hours on end.

I feel I'm a bit on my own now since I've broken away from my beloved group to teach myself how to eat better and find the benefits of exercise. I pulled away from the group since June when I began changing my bad habits. I feel confident that I can rejoin the ladies now, by just being organized with clean or whole foods, and take breaks even if it's just to walk around the perimeter of the bdlg!!

I have always struggled with swollen ankles, and more recently cellulite's in my legs from living a sedentary lifestyle. My daily walking for the past month or so, and change of eating habits has greatly helped my swollen ankles.

I'm proud of myself for taking the initiative to live a healthier life. I just have to see how I can incorporate quilting back into my life without falling back into my old bad habits.
