My plan (although I am not at goal weight yet) is to walk every day of the year. No rest day for me. If I have a restaurant meal on a certain day, I eat less calories before the meal and walk more.
Edited to add: My goal is to keep my sugars below 50 grams a day, which means that my carbs are controlled without me worrying about them or counting them. I look at my carbs at the end of the day, but my main concern is the sugars.

Thanks, everyone. Appreciate it so much! Some times I just want to run away from my real life stress. My husband and I have not had a vacation since 2005. When the stressful things are over, we are planning to get away. Maybe in December or maybe next summer. The sooner the better. :)

I don't know your situation, but boundaries are important. We sometimes have a tendency to take on other people's problems. I've often said to my son 'if you continuously look out for other people, who's standing guard for you? The spot is empty! ' Not to say you can't help, but there's often a very thin line between enabling and helping. Looking back at my life, I think I've enabled and not helped. In retrospect, I'd mind my own business and be a sentinel for my own house, it would prove to be more helpful.
