Today is the first day of a two day fast. I was wondering your thoughts on the consumption of high fat (300 calories from fat) on a fast day vs. just doing a water fast with no calories? Is it better to have some fat to get the body primed for fat burning, or is water going to do that better? I was doing fat, but lately changed to water. What is your experience or knowledge on the topic. Help.

Regardless of health, both these options will raise your metabolism. Unlike the water, fat will provide your body with calories, which will compete with fat burning (not to a significant degree, of course, given the already extremely low number of calories your taking). But if you want to burn more fat, then water is definitely the way to go. ;)
