I was hungry when I first woke up, but after my cup of coffee, i found I didn't feel like eating. I totally forgot about breakfast. Lunch was a healthy salad. By dinner, I was starving--LOL. I told hubby that I was going to cook my own dinner as they were eating later (I can't eat late on a diet and they still haven't eaten). Hubby cooked a wonderful dinner just for me! I had a fresh boneless skinless chicken breast over a vegetable medley (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, yellow squash). The chicken filled me up. I feel just right! I'm relaxing with my after dinner treat--a glass of wine. I have to say, I really feel better eating healthy. I don't have that "tired, ugh I ate too much" feeling. I feel really good. Happy.

What an incredible food day! You realize that you just did a fast? I am doing this ... skipping breakfast with the exception of coffee and Half n Half. Your hubby is a sweetheart! He cooked you an exceptional dinner. Man, you only did a bit over 500 calories. I need to copy your menu. :) ....plus the wine bonus!!!!!! Yehawwwwww!

Are you sure it's a good idea to skip breakfast? My strategy - and I am new here - is to divide my daily calorie allowance by four: a fourth each for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a "reserve" fourth for snacks and treats. My calorie allowance foresees a 1000 calorie deficit per day. I am not sure how long I can - or should - sustain that...

I normally don't skip meals during the week. I almost always eat the same thing: 80 cal yogurt for bf, half a p'nut butter sandwich (on pumpernickel) for lunch and 2 stalks of celery for lunch. If I really need more, then I will have 19 fat-free mini pretzels for 110 calories (I found I haven't needed them). Dinner is usually fish or chicken over veggies. On the weekends, I don't eat as much. It's not that I meant to skip a meal/fast, it's just that I'm busy and not as hungry. I'm not sure how healthy it is, but my theory is that if I'm really not hungry, I'm not going to eat. I woke up hungry, but then totally forgot to eat because I got busy--LOL. I guess he cup of coffee was filling?

Coffee is a natural hunger suppressant and it' yummy but skipping breakfast is not that best. I'm not a breakfast eater but I grab something quick before leaving the house in the morning. What a wonderful husband you have for fixing dinner for you. That's the support everyone needs.

Thanks Christina. I try not to skip breakfast. I know it's the most important meal of the day. I tend to forget it on the weekends, but during the week--I almost always have a yogurt at the same time every day. There was one day that I did forget--something came up that kept me ridiculously busy! I take my thyroid medicine in the morning and have to wait an hour before eating. I have myself pretty much on a schedule, but there are occasional "errrr/ughhh" days--LOL. I must admit, I know coffee isn't good, but I have to have it and I have pretty much cut back to one cut during the week and a cup and half, sometimes two on the weekends. That's me being "bad." LOL. I don't use sugar or cream, so don't feel too guilty! I am currently switching to water at work and peppemint or green tea at home. My hubby is the unhealthiest person I know. I want him on the diet/exercise routine with me, but he won't. I can't make him. What I love is that he cares and supports me by cooking separately for me. That means a lot to me. I absolutely LOVE this website for the support!
