I’ve only fasted for religious reasons so no help. But I read about others doing it. I’m pretty sure Rhontique has used that method to lose. You should ask her.

I get a lot of good info from Authority Nutrition. It’s a free sight and I’m sure I read about intermittent fasting as a method to lose weight on their site.

It's pretty easy to stick to and owe it partly to my success. I eat at 8am, noon and 4:30pm. I eat nothing after 4:30pm only water. Good luck!

I fast not for health benefits but more religious however this year I am able to see the effects of the fasting and yes I'm shedding lbs very quickly. I am fasting from 4:45am-9pm (16 hours) no food or water. having small meal before and small meal to break, and as much water as I can stand.700-900 calorie intake and doing my daily weigh in mid afternoon rather then morning. I have done this every year for a month, however I never watched the scale as I am now that I am dieting (trying to lose weight) and I'm amazed at how much is melting off. I say give it a go!! Best to your health!

Thank you so much for the comments 🤗This is day two , and I will repeat what I did yesterday . As I tracked my food I was worried about my total calories , as they were just over 1000 for the day 🤨😯... and I have read under 1200 is not good ? Yet I felt satisfied with what I ate.. I typically was eating 1350-1400 with the Keto calculator numbers that were for my body/age/ goal ...( weight loss) Is it important to meet those numbers so the body doesn’t thInk it’s in starvation/ or is that even a thing .... I feel the more I research what we were “ taught” is not what IS! Ughhh

I know we’re supposed to eat 1400 calories a day, but I don’t lose when I do that. Right now I maintain at about 137 eating that much. I’m 5’4” tall & 69 yrs old, female with medium bone frame. That keeps me in a size 8. If I want to lose, I have to eat about 1000 calories each day. I can do that if I am careful to eat mostly protein & veggies. Keeping carb count down around 50-70. Then I’m not hungry. I do walk 30-60 minutes almost every day. But I know I’m not as physically active as I used to be. So I think being older & not as active does not require 1400 calories per day.
