Whoo-Hoo!! Week is headed to an end an I'm ok! Not starving and actually losing. Today I got on the scale and am down to 194.9!! I realize that it is water weight but I'll take it. Learning to change up my daily routines such as eating my last meal by 4:30 and allowing a low cal snack before bed only if I need it, eating at the table instead on in front of the TV. I have been writing down small baby step goals and I have my long term goal but found I needed to stay focused on the small accomplishments knowing that at my age the journey will be a slow one. My first small goal is to lose 10 lbs by Memorial Day. Since I started my healthier way of eating on 4/2/18 this should be doable. More would be great but I am trying to be realistic so that disappointment won't sabotage me as it has in the past. After this first week I'll only post my weight weekly as I know fluctuations can occur daily. Till tomorrow!

Good luck to you. It sounds like a good outlook. We need to kick 'sabotage ' in the butt.

Great job! Sounds like you've formed a good plan with strong focus on hanging habits thus lifestyle which is key IMO. Stay the course and don't forget to celebrate reaching those 'baby step goals' by doing something for yourself. Also curb any disappointment by focusing on improvements in how things fit, what you can do, and how you feel instead of the number on the scale. Keep in mind that number is just one of MANY reference points and not the real indicator of progress you are making.

Thank you! Found the week wasn't as hard as I thought it might be! I can do this! I guess this is what I would call a lightbulb moment ;)
