Continuing on Take Shape for Life- Medifast maintenance phase. Have been at goal weight for a month and continue follow the program and have integrated most of the items /food groups. The established habits have made it easy to avoid danger items, ie: desserts, candy , mixed drinks, soft drinks(never again), and lot's of starches and dairy. Now enjoy one to two glasses of red wine almost daily. We have one main lean/green meal daily. I have the following meal regimen which is working: Breakfast: oatmeal or Medifast pancakes daily, followed by a whole-wheat muffin with sugar free jelly and peanut butter. Mid morning: 2% yogurt greek organic with fresh fruit. Lunch: A Medifast soup with crackers,. Mid-afternoon : Medifast shake. ( Celery anytime during the day) Water all day and prior to every meal and/or snack. Infusers used 3 to 4 a day to vary water regimen Dinner: Lean&Green consists of fresh vegetables, 6oz protein, chicken, turkey , (steak once a week) and rarely (for me) fish. Veggies and protein over a bed of romaine with salad dressing we make with lemon juice 1 to 5 ratio with good olive oil and 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard. Pre-bed: Medifast soft serve or pudding with Walden farms chocolate syrup. Apple cinnamon snack crackers added some times.
Also have a banana occasionally or a medifast bar if hungry or traveling and can't prepare one of the other meals above.
Following this plan and maintaining exercise regimen . Continue to have lot's of energy! Life is good...and I don't miss the food vices...and will never ever eat fast food again. If you need incentive the recent HBO 4 part special on Obesity in America is totally eye-opening...think you can find it on youtube. Good luck to each of you with your journey to health.
