Tonight was rough but did okay. I was doing the grill for a picnic of friends. I had kohlbasa, hot dogs, pork chops, steak burgers and the usual assortment of vegggie and potato salads and beans.

I brought my own dessert - a little hokie but saved me from partaking of the holiday-birthday cake and ice cream Whew! And I mostly ate meat but I overdid it a bit. My daily goal is 1500 calories and I did 1716 calories.

But, I went for a nice one mile walk with a lot of hills which expended 300 calories according to MapMyRide.

So, easy to overeat when you are out and can't control things. next time will be better.

Dear, dear Bob. That 216 cal is probably beneficial as intake cycling, for good of metabolism. Sounds like you rocked a good grill party, own dessert and all. Meanwhile, I'm slowly moving toward emulating your protein distribution. Is not easy; here's to your dedication and consistency!

T8U9 - Thanks, and I also try to eat my protein slowly. I "circle" the plate: one bite of protein, then veggie then my drink. It seems like it makes my dinner "bigger" to me. I am open to any trick that helps HA.
