This is very interesting - from a doctor. My diet was pretty poor before and I ate a lot of sweets. So, as I reduced the carbs I did feel the carb "flu" as they say. But, also my blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol dropped.

So your body gets accustomed to the higher sugar levels and when you bring it down by eating right, the body feels a bit hypoglycemic - it thinks it is short on carbs and send signals of irritability, fatigue, foggyness and just feeling bad. Even when blood sugar is in the normal range.

However, the body will readjust in time - and will again recognize what "normal" is and stop sending signals for help.

I always thought if you had all the right numbers of weight , BP, BS etc you would feel like a million bucks but, *initially* it's more like a buck and a quarter.

best regards. I recently cut out sugary foods but carbs are still at least 40% or more. forced to eat quality carbs to keep my food ratios correct. I've not felt like he was low. however skipping meals isn't an option since my body looks forward to the improved nutrition. more energy, less post meal tiredness. its great. wish you the best.
