Back to the routine. I'm feeling pretty good today, all in all. I slept a little late, and cut my morning Wii Fit session very short, but at least I did it; it's better than I did yesterday.

I haven't exactly been sticking to my no-carb eating plan either, because we have a bunch of leftovers from our Super Bowl party on Sunday. But, we just about finished the "bad" stuff, which should let me get back to eating the way I want to eat.

I have a good amount of energy today, and I'm noticing differences in my profile despite the yo-yo effect over the last week or so. I'm definitely putting on muscle under all the "cushioning".

I'm also really motivated for kickboxing today. I realized that I have been allowing my GF to talk me into staying home, when we should be going to work out. I think that I'm mostly doing it because I feel like she might get upset if I went without her, almost as if I were telling her that she needs to work out more.

I don't want to be the guy who makes my GF feel like she needs to lose weight for my sake. But, at the same time, I can't continue to let myself be lazy for her sake. I need to start going, whether she wants to go or not. Maybe she will get upset, who knows? I guess I'll just have to deal with that if and when it happens, like the Roomba incident.

This all could be just happening in my own head, too. I have a little bit of emotional baggage regarding the interaction between my own fitness and my relationships. My ex-wife had some serious self-esteem and jealousy issues, and one way she used to make herself feel more secure was to convince me that it was OK for me to gain weight, so that other women wouldn't be interested in me. None of this was overtly stated, of course; I had to work things out after the fact. So, I may be projecting all of this onto my current GF, and she may be completely innocent. I guess I'll see how it all shakes out.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is having a good week so far, and making good progress toward your goals. Only 3 more days until the weekend...
